Intro: This surprisingly large wardrobe measures 3.14 meters high by 1.56 meters wide. It’s one of several astonishing discoveries that CGTN host Julian Waghann recently made at the Beijing Long Shun Cheng Traditional Chinese Furniture Company. With a typical design of phoenixes floating in peony blossoms, some 20 in all, the replica closet mirrors a piece of imperial furniture made of Huanghuali wood, or rosewood, during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor of Qing Dynasty, who ruled from 1661 to 1722.
